Consumer Products/Industrial Manufacturing Company is looking for:
POSITION: Human Resource Leader (Generalist)
LOCATION: Ripon, California Area
SALARY: $80-100K
DEGREE: Preferred; prefer PHR or SPHR certification
EXPERIENCE: 5+ Years experience
RELOCATION: Assistance Available
This is reporting to the VP but working with one of the business units. This person should have heavy project management skills along with all the normal HR employee relations stuff and talent management. This needs to be a really confident HR person, someone that can stay 2 steps ahead of the GM, quick on their feet. Someone Analytical and strategic, but that has those soft HR skills. This person will have to do a ton of metrics and analysis for the GM too, so someone that has solid experience with Excel/metrics/data.
Good position for someone that wants to grow their career, as there is a ton of exposure here to the CEO and the Lead team being at the Corporate office. One thing to note, our Reps do a lot on their own administratively . We’ve had difficulty hiring HR people that are used to having an Assistant and come in and find themselves buried in the weeds and administrative details (employee action forms, job descriptions, expense reports, etc.).
Generic Description: This person develop and maintain successful working relationships with management team in order to influence and provide effective HR processes, advice and support.
Provide proactive coaching, consultation and direction to management in areas of employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and overall organizational effectiveness.
Organize and participate in selection and hiring process. Interview and screen applicants, provide interview training, recruit prospective employees, and coordinate searches with recruiters.
Prepare position descriptions, track employment requisitions and Affirmative Action Forms, and direct all aspects of pre-employment screening and conduct new hire orientation. Responsible for tracking applicant flow for local hiring.
Increase understanding and consistent application of company policies, procedures, and practices through training, coaching, one-on-one communication and policy interpretation. Observe and promote adherence to policies, regulations and Global Business Standards.
Primary contact for employees and managers to answer inquiries and provide general employee information including: compensation, benefits and attendance.
Responsible for the coordination of all employee data changes and HRIS reporting.
Represent management in investigating, answering and settling employee complaints of moderate complexity.
